Plot:
Deaf and mute young man Shigeru (played by Zouto Maki) is a cleaner. While cleaning a garbage dump, he found an old surfboard that had been thrown away. After picking it up and fixing it, he took his girlfriend Kiyoko (played by Hiroko Oshima) to the seaside to practice. Kiyoko is also deaf and mute. MAO's love for surfing has developed to the point of being obsessed with it all at once

Plot:
Fujino Masaharu (played by Ken Takakura), an upright and kind-hearted man, left the Hakoya Shipyard where he had worked for many years due to a disagreement with his boss. After that, he and his wife Mokako (played by Nobuko Kato) became self-supported and opened a small tavern. Back then, friends from the factory such as Iwashita (played by Kunie Tanaka) and Akamoto (played by Masao Komatsu)
