Lu Yunsheng (played by Lui Leung-wai), a street vendor, often stands up for his neighbors and is favored by Aigui (played by Sujin Gaowa), the wife of the chief detective of the concession, Wong Kam-wing (played by Cheng Cheuk-sze). Not long after, Lu uncovered the truth about the assassination of Song Jiaoren, which made Huang famous. Huang appreciated Lu but aroused Hou Fei's jealousy.
