This film tells the story of a British fortress in Africa at the end of the 19th century that was understaffed but was attacked by tens of thousands of local indigenous Zulu people. The Zulu people are the most warlike ethnic group in Africa and engaged in fierce battles with the British army. The British army fought tenaciously and eventually won with a smaller force.
