Once upon a time, the giants in the clouds came to the earth with their sky-reaching pods. They ran amok, devouring humanity and causing boundless harm. Thanks to the brave and astute King Eric who sent the giant back to his hometown, the legend of the giant has since become increasingly legendary and widely spread. Jack (played by Nicholas Hoult), a poor young man who has been deeply attracted by giant stories since childhood, goes to the city to buy a horse. By chance, he encounters a monk being pursued by the Royal Guard. In a panic, he even trades his horse for the pod in the monk's hand. As night fell, a sudden downpour hit. Princess Isabel (played by Eleanor Tomlinson), unwilling to entrust her entire life's happiness to others, took advantage of the chaos to run away and eventually found shelter at Jack's home. Just as they were chatting, the pods soaked by the rain suddenly sprouted, and the bean stems grew wildly, reaching the sky and carrying the princess trapped in the house into the clouds.
