At the end of the Tang Dynasty, Li Zhonghan, a censor, was sentenced to the execution of his entire family for punishing corrupt officials. His wife, Li SAO, moved south with the displaced people along with her family. They crossed the Yellow River and Poyang Lake, climbed over Wuyi Mountain, and arrived at Getengao, which is at the junction of Fujian, Guangdong and Jiangxi provinces. The son of a corrupt official was too fierce. Believing the slander of the eunuch Tian Lingzi, he regarded the Li family as the murderer of his father and pursued them to Geteng 'ao, waiting for an opportunity to take revenge. The Li family and the Han people who moved south had serious conflicts with the local mountain people in their production and life, and thus developed deep feelings for them. After many ups and downs, Luo Sheng and Shiqi Niang finally got married. He fought too hard to kill Li's wife, but was saved by her instead. Because Wu Maotang and Er Leng had served Huang Chao, Ge Tengao was attacked by the Tang army. The Han people and the mountain folk united as one, sharing a common hatred for the enemy and repelling the Tang troops. Li Zhonghan died to advise Emperor Li Ye of Tang. Li Ye retracted his order and bestowed upon Ge Teng 'ao a population of ten thousand people, allowing the Han people who had moved there to multiply and thrive, and pass on their traditions.[Collapse]
