The American couple Roy (played by Woody Harrelson) and Jesse (played by Emily Mortimer) take a train from Beijing to Moscow for a vacation. On the bus, they met the Spanish young man Carlos (played by Eduardo Noriega) and the American girl Abby (played by Kate Mara). When the train stopped at the Siberian town of Irkutsk, Roy missed the train because he was so obsessed with sightseeing. Carlos and Abby decided to wait with Jesse at the next stop, Ilansky, for Roy to come by the train after work. The flirtatious Carlos soon launched a pursuit of Jesse, complicating what was originally a simple sightseeing trip. The next passenger in the same carriage as Jesse and his wife turned out to be Russian anti-drug police officer Greenko (played by Ben Kingsley). As the situation became increasingly strange, Roy and his wife found themselves in deep crisis... This film was nominated for the Best Art Direction and Best Film Editing at the Spanish Gaudi Awards, as well as for Best Cinematography, Best Foreign Language, Best Sound and Best Special Effects.
