The story is set in 1969. Elias (played by Yorgos Karayannis) is a 10-year-old Athenian boy who is very fond of astronomy and Verne's novels. Elias admired his father very much. His father was a travel salesman and died in a traffic accident during a business trip. Elias' father had promised to return home in time to watch the live broadcast of the moon landing with him before leaving. His unexpected death plunged the entire family into grief. But Ilya refused to accept this fact, firmly believing that his father was still alive. So he fabricated an imagined world. He shared science fiction stories with his companions and even wrote to his grandmother in his father's name. He played two roles at once, as if his father were still by his side. Elias' mother and his godfather had always wanted to bring him back to reality, so they took him on vacation.[Collapse]
