Seven-year-old Nora is facing the fear of going to school for the first time. Her elder brother Abel, who seems to be adapting well to school, has to comfort his younger sister on the one hand and has his own problems on the other. The bell rang for class. In the unfamiliar environment, Nora not only had to introduce herself to her classmates, but also faced new challenges such as swimming in the water and walking on the balance beam. Finally, it was time for the class to end, but I unexpectedly discovered my elder brother's little secret. I wanted to tell my father, but was given a gag order. The school life is like a small society. The performance in class and the pressure among peers test the relationship between the brother and sister. Can Nora have her own place in the school? This is the first feature film by Belgian up-and-coming director Lora Wangdel. With a handheld long shot and a frame at the same height as a child, it closely follows Nora, who is just starting school. The campus environment sounds and the children's laughter layer upon layer, successfully spreading the protagonist's unease through the screen. The two young actors who played the brother and sister performed naturally and delicately. As the plot progressed, just a change in their eyes was enough to break one's heart.[Collapse]
