The Russian gang leader Irina (played by Kate Winslet) instigated a group of corrupt police officers to carry out a perfect bank robbery. As all of them were within the police force and had extremely strong counter-investigation capabilities, it was almost impossible to find out the truth of the case. However, what the few people did not know was that the real threat did not come from the police investigation, but from someone who was eyeing the huge remuneration they had received greedily. After this battle, Irina's ambition remained undiminished. Little did she know that the several police officers, under immense pressure, were already fraught with conflicts and on the verge of collapse. One of them, Marcus (played by Anthony Mackie), not only has to confront his inner struggles but also deal with his rookie partner Chris (played by Casey Affleck), who is just starting out and brimming with a strong sense of justice.
