Friendly and cautious New Zealand leader Rob Hall (played by Jason Clarke), whose team is called "Adventure Advisors"; And Scott Fisher (played by Jake Gyllenhaal) is funny and quirky. He leads the "Crazy Mountains" mountaineering team from Seattle. They compete with each other but also help one another. The warriors in the two teams come from all walks of life. Among them are postmen, journalists, doctors, and a professional woman from Japan. These mountaineers may seem ordinary, but each of them has a dream of their own behind them, which inspires them to climb Mount Everest, which is over 8,000 meters above sea level and has thin oxygen. During the climb, their physical functions declined rapidly. While dealing with physical exhaustion, oxygen deficiency and snow blindness, they unfortunately encountered a severe snowstorm, thus their lives were in great danger. The film is adapted from a real adventure experience in 1996.[Collapse]
