This is a slow train journey through the heart of the Daliangshan Mountains. Starting from Puxiong, it extends southward to Xichang and northward to Yanguang, passing through small stations such as Yuehua, Yuexi and Guancunba. This section of the Chengdu-Kunming Railway boasts the most beautiful natural scenery and the most simple Yi ethnic customs of the Daliangshan region. It also contains a profound and tragic past history. The male protagonist Qi Dong and Ma Hao made an appointment to go to the Daliangshan area to start a slow train journey. The male protagonist, Niyazi Aili, is a Uyghur poet. His grandfather moved from southern Xinjiang to northern Xinjiang when he was young. Both he and his father were born in Yili Kazak Autonomous Prefecture.
