The once highly popular glory has long become a thing of the past. Now, Veronica (played by Rosel Zech) has become a thing of the past that no one pays attention to. Sports journalist Robert (played by Hilmar Thate) was once a fan of Veronica. When he saw her again, all he saw was a washed actress addicted to alcohol and narcotic drugs. He decided to help Veronica. Veronica lives in Dr. Katz's (played by Annemarie Duringer) clinic, where there are many people as down and out and pitiful as her. Robert discovers that the doctor at the clinic is taking advantage of his position to inject morphine into these people, using it as a means to control and extort their money.
