The story takes place in a middle-class community called "Rome" in Mexico City. It tells of a young maid, Cleo (played by Jaliza Abbaricio), who works at her employer Sofia's (Marina de Tavira) home. Sofia's husband is away for a long time, and Cleo takes care of Sophie's four children. Two sudden accidents hit both the maid Cleo and the employer Sophia at the same time. How will the two of them face their bitter and confused lives? The four children seem to be the source of hope.
