Arthur (played by Ken Stott) is a successful capitalist and is about to be promoted soon. Sheila (played by Chloe Pirrie) is Arthur's daughter. This innocent and kind-hearted young lady accepted her boyfriend Gerald (played by Kyle Soller) 's proposal at the family dinner, and the two got married. Arthur and his wife are obviously very satisfied with this marriage. However, Sheila's younger brother Eric (portrayed by Finn Cole) was apparently not very happy. Just as the family was enjoying themselves together, the arrival of an unexpected guest made the five of them feel extremely vigilant. The person who came claimed to be a detective from the police station (played by David Thewlis), and came to investigate and collect evidence for a case of a female worker's suicide. This poor girl named Eva (played by Sophie Rundle) used to work in Arthur's factory and was fired by Arthur for leading a strike. Arthur didn't think he should take any responsibility for Eva's death. But as time went by, everyone gradually realized that in this small room, whether intentionally or not, everyone was a sinner.[Collapse]
