The story takes place in a hotel where Zhuang Jindou has been struggling to run the Laoye Hotel for over three decades. Business is doing well. The guests were constantly coming and going, but the room where a newlywed couple was staying was haunted one after another, causing the hotel staff to be in a state of panic and the hotel's business to plummet. Zhuang Jindou successively hired private detectives and ghost-catching Taoist priests, but none of them were of any help. One day, Zhuang Jindou and another guest noticed a woman dressed strangely sneaking into and out of the haunted room, behaving suspiciously. They then devised a plan to catch the mastermind behind this "haunted incident". Unexpectedly, it turned out that this lady was an old flame of the newlywed husband, Changyun.
