In the international metropolis of Tokyo, Japan, Hiroshi Nagayama (played by Kenichi Matsuyama), who grew up in the mountains since childhood, is now struggling in the financial circle as a trader. One day, he received a call from his mother (played by Tan Fumei) from their hometown and learned that his father, Yongfu (played by Kaoru Kobayashi), who was always strict and strong, had unfortunately died while rescuing a person in danger while climbing a mountain. The sudden bad news caught Changling off guard. He hurried home, but could no longer hear his father's stern yet gentle scolding. Before his death, Yufu built a small house on the top of Mount Tateyama for mountaineers to stay and rest. He had rescued many people in distress and also forged deep friendships with countless mountaineers he had met by chance. After much consideration, Changling decided to resign and return home to continue running the small house. He, along with the girl Ai Takasawa (played by Yu Aoi), who was once saved by his father, and his father's old friend Gokuro Tada (played by Etsuji Toyokawa), brought the small house back to life. The mountaineers came one after another, with long-lost warm smiles on their faces... This film is adapted from the original work of the same name by Ryohei Sasamoto.[Collapse]
