Father Karl (Burghart Klau? ner is very supportive of his daughter's decision, but his mother, Marian (played by Imogen Kogge), is opposed to it. Ultimately, Michelle still became a freshman on the university campus, where she met a man named Steve (played by Nicholas Reinke). For the first time, Michelle experienced the sweetness of love.
