Mark (played by Hanno Koffler) is about to become a riot police officer. He and his girlfriend are looking forward to the birth of their child, and life seems to be going smoothly. During his training at the police academy, Mark met his roommate Kay (played by Max Riemelt). The two of them ran, swam and smoked marijuana together. Mark felt more at ease than ever before. As his feelings grew, he finally realized that there was a latent desire for same-sex love in his heart. When Kay applied to be transferred to Mark's police force, they found out that this relationship was actually mutual. The unprecedented excitement disrupted Mark's comfortable life, and in the eyes of his family and girlfriend, he became a completely different person. A vacuum is emerging in Mark 's world, and he begins to experience the free fall of life...... The feature-length debut of German director Stefan Larcanter, an emotionally rich love story, was selected for the "German Perspective" section of the 63rd Berlin Film Festival. What price does one have to pay to be true to oneself? Should one be loyal to one's family and responsibility, or to one's own heart?[Collapse]
