In 1978, Liu Muxing, who felt guilty of committing murder during the Vietnam War, returned to South Korea and converted to God. To wash away his SINS, Liu devoted himself to spiritual practice and organized villagers to raise funds to purchase land for preaching. Detective Chun Young-deok (played by Jung Jae-young) suspects that Yoo Mok-hyung is a fraudster and persecutions him. Soon, he is moved by Yoo and the two of them take several criminals to a remote place in search of redemption. Twenty-five years later, the place where Qian, Liu and others had settled had developed into a well-organized village. Liu Muxing died.
