The story takes place in Geneva in the late 1970s. Eddie (Benot Bolwald) from Belgium t Poelvoorde (played by Poelvoorde) was imprisoned for fraud. When he finally completed his sentence, he was over forty years old. Not long after his release from prison, Eddie met his former friend. The friend took in the homeless Eddie, but in exchange, Eddie had to take on the responsibility of looking after his 7-year-old daughter Samira (played by Seli Gmach), as Samira's mother was currently hospitalized due to illness. Christmas is approaching, and everywhere is filled with a strong festive atmosphere. Eddie can no longer bear the poor and hopeless life. He decides to return to his old trade to earn a little money for himself.
