This film recreates a sad story that took place during World War II at the Episcopate in Paris, France, through the perspective of female journalist Julia (played by Kristin Scott Thomas). In 1942, Paris, France, which was under German occupation, was required to hand over the Jews living there. Ten-year-old Sarah (played by Melusine M ayance) and her family were also not spared in this catastrophe. As the military search was approaching, Sarah quietly locked her young brother in the wardrobe at home for protection and carefully kept the key to the wardrobe safe, hoping that this method could save her brother from the German search. But when Sarah, who yearned for the concentration camp, realized that this departure was not just for a day or two, she desperately escaped from the camp and returned to her old residence. But what greeted her was not only the new resident who had already moved in, but also her younger brother who had unfortunately passed away in the wardrobe. Julia was assigned to dig into this story for work reasons. During the interview, she not only discovered the truth that had been concealed back then, but also found the intricate yet seemingly predestined connection between herself and the Sara family.[Collapse]
