The story takes place in Australia in 1880. The relationship between the police and the gangsters has hit rock bottom. Everyone knows that if things continue to develop like this, a fierce fight is inevitable. The actions of the bandit Arthur (played by Danny Huston) made the situation worse. After carrying out a bloody and brutal massacre at the home of the small-town resident Hopkins, he fled.
