Ned's Rifle is the final chapter of the trilogy. The first two parts are Henry Fool and Fay Grim respectively, providing a just-right ending for viewing the fringes of American society from an alternative perspective. In this film, Henry (played by Thomas Jay Ryan, a character in "Henry the Fool") and Fay (played by Parker Posey, a character in "State Code") also appear, but they have turned into a portrait, looking lovingly at their son Ned, who is eighteen years old this year.
