Jackie Justis (played by Halle Berry) is a mixed martial arts fighter, but she disgracefully quit the sport. In the years following that fight, she was not very lucky and spent her days in resentment and regret. Eventually, she was persuaded by her agent and boyfriend Desi (played by Dan Kanto) to take part in a brutal underground fight, which caught the attention of the organizer of the Gladiator League (played by Shamir Anderson), who promised to bring Jackie back to the octagon. But when Manny (played by Danny Boyd Jr.) shows up at her doorstep, she is destined to embark on a self-aware path of redemption: Manny is her son, and she abandoned him shortly after he was born.
