Farmer La Tiaozi (played by Chen Jianbin) met a beggar fool (played by Jin Shijia) in the town. The fool followed him home. A note was posted with a missing person notice, and soon someone claimed the fool. Immediately after, more family members who claimed to be fools showed up one after another, saying that they had sold the fool by pulling a note. Troubles followed one after another. The person who pulled the note knew he had been deceived but had no words to say. He couldn't figure out how a good thing could turn into a bad one. He began to try to prove his innocence in the most simple way of a farmer. And in order to find the fool, he became another fool who pestered others everywhere... The film is adapted from the short story "Running Moonlight", and it is Chen Jianbin's debut work in which he wrote, directed and starred himself.[Collapse]
