His father, Junzo (played by Toyotomi Matsushita), was once the head of the sales department of a pastry production company. Now, due to personnel changes, he has been transferred to another department, and the newly appointed head of this department is Junzo's former subordinate, Kotaro Hattori (played by Eita Nagayama).
