Alice (played by Bonnie Hunt) and George (played by Charles Grodin) are with their three children, Reese (played by Nicholle Tom). Ted (played by Christopher Castile) and Emily (played by Sarah Rose Karr) lived in a big house on the outskirts of the city, leading a peaceful and happy life. Until one day, a poor yet lovely stray dog appeared at Newton's doorstep. At the earnest pleading of the three children, the little dog became a new member of the Newton family and was named Beethoven. As time went by, it was not only the three children of the Newton family who grew up, but also Beethoven. In just a few months, the once petite and lovely Beethoven had become a huge creature. While constantly causing trouble, Beethoven also brought deep joy to the Newton family.
