This is the metropolis of Milan, where the economic market is booming. Amidst the dazzling prosperity, criminal incidents are also bound to increase. Santo Russo, a Calabrian who grew up in the Italian interior, ended up in a juvenile prison after a period of petty theft in the suburbs. Later, he decided to follow his aspiration and make a living by committing crimes. In just a few years, he grew into a leading figure in a powerful and terrifying gang, with a group of armed thugs constantly engaged in all kinds of dirty but lucrative businesses: robbery, kidnapping, drug trafficking, money laundering, and especially unimaginably - murder. While ceaselessly pursuing wealth and social satisfaction, Santo Russo wavered between two women: his wife was submissive and loyal, while his lover was beautiful, elegant and unattainable. He was confronted with two completely different life choices, and he himself had two completely opposite faces. Santo's criminal acts are filled with all kinds of inevitable choices and painful experiences: the life and death of others, passionate love or having a family, a dreamy middle-class life or the cruel social struggle. "Ruthless Tyranny" is a narrative spanning a quarter of a century, set against the backdrop of an Italian Mafia, telling the story of Santo Russo: in the golden age of fashion, wealth, avant-garde art, and disco music, a dandy gangster operates and navigates in the ever-changing and dazzling real world of Milan. Renato de Maria directed this film and co-wrote it with Valentina Strada and Federico Nesini. The inspiration for this film comes from "Manager Calibro 9" written by Pietro Colaprico and Luca Fazzo. Ricardo Scamacho plays Santo Russo, and other cast members include Sara Sarioco, Alessio Pratico, Alessandro Tedeschi and Marie[Collapse]
