The film tells the story of how a journey to South America inspired Che Guevara's brand-new worldview and made revolutionary enthusiasm start to sprout and grow in his heart. Guevara (played by Gael Garcia Bernal) was 23 years old at that time, full of vigor and determination, and was a medical student.
