The Bronx, where Italians gathered in New York in the 1960s. The gang leader, Sinny (played by Chazz Palminteri), is a well-known figure in the local gang. At the scene of a murder case, nine-year-old boy Anu (played by Francis Capra) witnessed everything. For the sake of the neighborhood's reputation, Anu refused to reveal that the murderer was Sinny. This incident prompted the two of them to develop a friendship that was as close as father and son, regardless of age. However, Anu's father, Rolandson (played by Robert De Niro), did not approve of this, fearing that his son might go astray. Eight years later, seventeen-year-old Anu (played by Lillo Brancato) has grown into a handsome young man. Sinney's power is gradually expanding. Annu is increasingly admiring Sinney and more yearning for the gangster life. The honest and upright Rolandson was increasingly worried about his son. The debut film "The Bronx Story", directed by Oscar-winning actor Robert de Niro, was nominated for the Golden Lion at the 50th Venice International Film Festival in 1993.[Collapse]
