"Young Man's Dream: The First Battle against the Drug Lord", also known as "Young Lin Zexu", mainly tells the story of Lin Zexu's youth when he witnessed the rampant opium in China, poisoning people's physical and mental health, and thus developed the idea of anti-drug efforts. Subsequently, he engaged in a series of covert battles with drug lords. When Lin Zexu was young, he worked hard and later rose to the first rank. He served as the governor of Hubei and Hunan, the governor of Shaanxi and Gansu, and the governor of Yunnan and Guizhou. He was twice appointed as an imperial commissioner. In 1839, when Lin Zexu was cracking down on opium in Guangdong, he sent people to investigate both openly and secretly, forced foreign opium merchants to hand over opium, and destroyed the confiscated opium in Humen on June 3, 1839. He is hailed as a "national hero" in China for advocating a strict ban on opium.[Collapse]
