Hou Hsiao-

A family that moved from the Chinese mainland to Taiwan, under the seemingly peaceful days, each had their own worries. Grandmother (Tang Ruyun) couldn't forget the mainland and was determined to go back. This film is a collaboration between Hou Hsiao-hsien and French director Albert. Albert Lamorisse's short film, shot in 1956, is a tribute to "Le Ballon Rouge", which holds an important position in the history of cinema. It is also his sequel to "Coffee Time"

After graduating from junior high school, 15-year-old rural boy A Yuan (played by Wang Jingwen) gave up his studies and came to Taipei to work due to his family's financial difficulties.
