The film tells the story of obstetric nurse Li Tian 'ai, who, while on duty, encounters a sudden death of a mother named Li Chunfeng after giving birth to her son Dongdong. Li Chunfeng's husband, Yao Guang, is also imprisoned, leaving Dongdong with no one to raise him.
