"Smiling in the Distant Mountains" tells the story of two young couples who go hiking in the suburbs and get lost in the deep mountains. They find a strange couple living in a small thatched cottage. The man has a rough appearance and the woman is mentally dull and silent all day long. The man stays with them. The next day, a flash flood occurs and they work together to repair the broken wooden bridge. The two young couples not only learn that men are devoted to love
