The drama unfolds around the competition between grandparents and parents for their children.

The drama is adapted from the novel of the same name by Qiaodi Jun. It tells the story of Xiao Heyun (played by Bai Jingting), a game architect, and Li Shiqing (played by Zhao Jinmai), a college student, who "come back to life" after a bus explosion. During the period of the bus accident, they constantly experience time loops, from getting off the bus to save themselves to breaking down the barriers and fighting side by side

In 1126 AD, the first year of the Jingkang era of the Northern Song Dynasty. The Jurchens from the northern deserts invaded the Central Plains with 40,000 iron cavalry. Due to the incompetence of Emperor Huizong of the Song Dynasty and the military evacuation, the Jin troops advanced as if they were in an uncharted territory. They burned, killed, looted and attacked all the way to Bianliang in the capital.
