Ding Hong

This film is one of the classic masterpieces of Shaw Brothers in the 1960s and 1970s. Chen Hou plays a rich and wealthy young man who appears unrestrained on the outside but is actually simple and honest. Because he wants to marry a rich young lady, he abandons his pregnant fiancee but fails. Eventually, he kills her, but is claimed by a suspected ghost and is so frightened that he dies.

Tang Seng (He Fan), Sun Wukong (Yue Hua), Zhu Bajie and Sha Seng, the four disciples, went to the West to obtain the scriptures. Passing by the Flame Mountain, the fire was so intense that it was impossible to walk. Princess Iron Fan (Ding Hong) refused to lend the fan to Sun Wukong to extinguish the flames. Sun Wukong transformed into the Bull Demon King and attempted to deceive the fan. Later, the four of them met the White Bone Spirit sisters again (Cheng Pei-pei).
