A 2005 American thriller, this film tells the crime story of a professional snakehead named Maklovsky (played by Eric Roberts), who attempts to help a pair of Russians illegally enter the United States, but his plan fails. Los Angeles Police Chief Michael March (portrayed by Gary Busey) is investigating a case of a parcel bomb. This parcel bomb killer has disrupted the peaceful life of the city. There is evidence that Maklovsky is this killer, and the maverick Mexican police officer is also suspected of being involved... The film makes a sharp and incisive exposure of the dark side of the American judicial system to a certain extent, and it has a plot and characters that are as indistinguishable from right and wrong and black and white as "The Good and the Bad". Gary Busey, an American actor with a personality as profound and stylish as Al Pacino and a classic supporting actor, teams up with Eric Roberts, who has been twice nominated for Best Actor at the Oscars, to present a series of intricate police and gangster battles in this film. The confrontation between these two veteran actors is bound to add much color to the performance of the film.[Collapse]
