Peipei (played by Huang Yao), a 16-year-old female student from a single-parent family, lives in both Hong Kong and Shenzhen. She studies in Hong Kong during the day and returns to Shenzhen at night to live with her mother (played by Ni Hongjie), frequently shuttling between the two places. For the promise of a trip with her best friend Joe (played by Tang Jiawen), for her own sense of existence, and for the innocent affection she had for Joe's boyfriend Ah Hao (played by Sun Yang), the impulse in her heart was ignited.
