Shuhei Amamiya (voiced by Ryunosuke Kamiki), who has just transferred to a rural school, is a fifth-grade elementary school student who aspires to become a pianist. Just after entering the new class, he was teased by his classmates. His classmate, Icase Umi, stepped forward to help him out of the predicament (voiced by Aya Ueto), and the two got to know each other from then on. Under the guidance of Ichinose Kai, Shuhei Amamiya saw a piano that had been abandoned in the forest and discovered that only Ichinose Kai could produce pleasant sounds on this piano. Music teacher Azono (voiced by Hiroyuki Miyazaki) showed an unexpected excitement when he heard that Hai could play this piano. It turned out that the piano was exactly what Ah Ziye had discarded. Icase Hai knew many musicians' pieces. When he returned to the forest to play, he found that only Chopin's Little Dog Waltz couldn't be played.
