Xiang Er SAO (played by Sujin Gaowa) is a shrewd and capable female shopkeeper. The sesame oil factory she runs has received investment from a Japanese businesswoman and is thriving. However, sometimes she would also feel dejected because taking care of her husband and raising her children broke her heart. Her husband (played by Lei Kesen) has a leg disability and is an alcoholic. Her child is born with intellectual disabilities. Such a blow has put her under tremendous mental pressure. The only time she was happy was with her lover (played by Chen Baoguo), but his timidity and fear of taking risks gradually dashed her hopes...
