Julia (played by Zawe Ashton), who comes from an upper-class background, is rejected by Mr. Malcolm (played by Sope Derisu), a single man in London, because she doesn't meet one of his strict requirements for a bride. Julia felt humiliated and excluded, so she asked her friend Selina (played by Freda Pinto) to help her take revenge on Malcolm, making him think he had found the perfect other half and then abandon him. When Henry (played by Theo James) also starts to curry favor with Selina and threaten Julia's arrangements, this plan seems to be working. Then the clumsy Lord Cassidy (played by Oliver Jetson-Cohen) begins to interfere in the complex relationship among the four. The never smooth path of true love becomes bumpy.
