After losing his land and parents, Xiangzi comes to Beijing and works as a rickshaw puller in Liu Si's rickshaw factory. Xiangzi got up early and went to bed late, working day and night, hoping to buy a rickshaw of his own and no longer have to rent someone else's. Xiangzi finally managed to scrape together 100 yuan to buy a new car, but not long after, he was captured by the warlord's strong men along with his car. Xiangzi was in charge of transporting shells with foreign carts in the army. When the troops were defeated and fled, Xiangzi's cart rolled down the valley. All the soldiers had fled. Xiangzi accidentally picked up three camels from the army. He sold his camel and returned to Liu Si's carriage factory as a rickshaw puller. People named him "Camel Xiangzi". Liu Si's daughter, Hu Niu (played by Sujin Gaowa), fell in love with Xiangzi and got him drunk with wine...[Collapse]
