The film "The Lost Tomb: The Ancient City of Jingjue" mainly tells the story of Hu Baji and Wang Kaixuan leading the archaeological team organized by Shirley Yang to the heart of the desert to search for the ancient city of Jingjue. Hu Baji went up the mountains and down the countryside to Ganggangyingzi on the border between China and Mongolia. He took the only book left at home - "The Sixteen-Character Secret Art of Yin-Yang Feng Shui". In his spare time, he memorized the words in the book by heart. Later, when he joined the army in Xizang, he encountered an avalanche and fell into a huge trench. Hu Baji managed to escape alive by using the secret skills he knew. After being discharged from the military, Hu Baji and his good friend Fatty joined an archaeological team that was going to Xinjiang for archaeological work. A group of people, after going through numerous dangers, arrived at the ruins of Jingjue Ancient City in the Taklimakan Desert and entered the underground "ghost cave". The cave is filled with numerous traps and mechanisms. This mysterious ghost cave seems to be under the control of a prophet. The film aims to form multiple sets of games through the contrast between the archaeological team's dedication to scientific research and Wang Pangzi's greed for money, as well as the disparity between An Liman's piety and the attitude of the archaeological team, to create a vivid picture of the characters of the expedition team. Through the passionate performances of a group of seasoned actors and actresses, the characters that once existed in readers' imagination are brought to life on the screen, restoring this thrilling desert adventure.[Collapse]
