In the Daima Fishing Port on the Shimonoseki Peninsula, fisherman Kobayashi Jiro (played by Ken Ogata) raised his daughter alone. His daughter, Herako (played by Masako Natsume), falls in love with a young man, Toshiichi (played by Koichi Sato), who works at a coffee shop. In order to win the favor of Bojiro, Junichi decided to learn fishing from him. After several days of waiting, the two finally encountered a group of tuna. Fang Jirang was so absorbed in fishing that Jun Yi accidentally got his head entangled in the fishing line and nearly lost his life. After being discharged from the hospital, Junichi and his wife moved back to the city to live, and Bojiro was finally alone. One year later, Junyi and Luzi returned to the fishing village. One night, Jun Yi went out to sea and didn't return, so the radio was cut off. Fang Jilang went out to sea to search and found Junichi struggling with a big fish, exhausted and on the verge of death...
