The Spanish Civil War had just ended, and it was a difficult period of post-war trauma. In the countryside of Catalonia, a boy named Andrew (played by Francesc Colomer), who belongs to the defeated camp, discovers the bodies of a father and son in the jungle. However, the authorities actually placed the blame on Andrew's father, Falliol (played by Roger Casamajor), making him an innocent scapegoat. Andrew decided to act alone to find the real murderer of the father and son and expose the truth of the matter. Andrew's investigation along the way revealed all kinds of conspiracies and lies in the adult world, allowing the young Andrew to see through this distorted world. To survive, Andrew had no choice but to betray his race, and he gradually became aware of the terrifying devil that had long been lurking deep in his heart. The film "Black Bread", directed and written by the renowned Spanish director Augustin Villaroga, swept multiple awards at the 25th Goya Awards in Spain in 2011, including Best Film, Best Director, Best Cinematography and Best Adapted Screenplay.[Collapse]
