Totira (played by Lars Eidinger) is a scholar whose research focuses on the German Holocaust. Although his research achievements have attracted much attention in the industry and his academic prospects are promising, this cruel study has brought Totira's spirit to the brink of collapse. It turned out that Totila had hidden a little-known past. His grandfather was once a Nazi who had personally killed many unarmed and innocent people. Every time he thought of this, Totila would feel extremely painful. By chance, Totila met a Jewish girl named Zaghi (played by Adele Haenel), who was cheerful and passionate, like a beam of sunshine illuminating Totila's gloomy world. Zaghi's grandmother was persecuted to death by the Nazis during World War II. What Zaghi couldn't accept was that the person who persecuted his grandmother back then was actually Totila's grandfather.[Collapse]
