During the 300-year rule of the Tokugawa Shogunate, the gold and silver produced in Sado were an important guarantee for the government's finances and were known as "imperial gold" by the world. Gold was processed and endured numerous hardships before being transported to Edo. However, during the three-day journey, the wild reefs and currents posed the main threat to the gold-carrying ships. In the winter of the second year of Tianbao, there was a ship transporting gold
