The film takes a cross-sectional perspective of The Times, focusing on the story around 1921 and presenting a panoramic view of the grand and earth-shaking historical moment a hundred years ago - passionate young people from all over the country, with an average age of only 28, broke through the surveillance and tracking of various complex international forces and gathered in Shanghai to hold the Communist Party of China

Brother Sheng (played by Li Kangsheng) was once a gangster who roamed the Hotel street in Zhongshan District. When he was young, he was imprisoned for 12 years to save his brother Sha Ou (played by Xie Chengjun). Years later, when he was released on parole and set foot on the once powerful territory again, he found that his younger brother, Sha Ou, had become a local tyrant stretching across the forest and the north.
